I have been providing financial advice for 35 years and am pleased to say that some of my relative success is reflected in the fact that many of my original clients are still with me!

I am also pleased to say that the somewhat disorganised and unsupervised world of financial advice that I joined in 1990 is now a proper profession demanding very high standards from its practitioners and this is all for the good.

The financial world has always been complicated and sometimes it has been an absolute minefield for clients, and by realising this early on in my career, it has led me to believe passionately in the need for people to have clear, considered, constructive and evidenced advice on a regular basis...

I am proud to be as committed to providing this service as I was all those years ago.

Setting and maintaining standards has always been important to me and for most of my career I have never been very far from a syllabus or exam hall and I was in the very first cohort of financial advisers to pass the exams needed for Chartered Financial Planner status, a clear statement of my belief in high levels of professional conduct.

As a long-standing husband, father of three and grandfather of two, family is the most important part of my life, and this is reflected in my business where my most important work is ensuring clients and their families are properly guided towards their financial goals whilst safe in the knowledge they are protected from unexpected financial loss along the way. If this happens to take me into helping clients protect their business interests as well, that is fine but it all starts with the family.

In my spare time, I am often either toiling in the garden or making a mess in the kitchen. Highly enjoyable pastimes but most definitely hobbies and not alternative careers in the making.
