I have been providing comprehensive and knowledgeable financial advice to clients for over 25 years, having previously been employed by large UK financial companies such as Lloyds Banking Group and Wesleyan Assurance. I created Carl Higham Financial Planning Ltd in 2016, which acted as an Appointed Representative of St. James’s Place, before I accepted an invitation, from True Potential Wealth Management, to align my business with them in April 2025...

As a fully qualified Financial Planner, I have met rigorous professional and ethical standards, meaning my clients can be confident they’re receiving expert, unbiased advice. I have extensive experience in the retirement area of financial advice, with a specialism in the Teachers’ Pension and Local Government Pension schemes. My focus is always on maximising tax efficiency and long-term financial stability.

I believe in lasting relationships with my clients, providing them with a secure financial foundation which can adapt as their circumstances change, with the goal of ultimately achieving a prosperous and enjoyable retirement.

My services include Individual meetings for financial advice in the comfort of your own home, or at work if preferred. Advice is available on a broad range of financial topics including investment and retirement planning, protection (including life insurance, critical illness and income protection), legacy and inheritance tax planning and residential mortgages.

Outside of work, family is everything to me. I cherish time with my wife, Sarah, and our three wonderful children, Rachel, Jack & Millie, along with our family Cockapoo, Kiki.
