After 6 years as a Lloyd’s broker followed by the obligatory 18 months backpacking around the World, I started my Financial Planning career in March 1990, on the tail of a recession and just before the industry became regulated! Managing to survive this ‘perfect storm’ was the first challenge; but I found my feet and started to grow my business.
I provide advice to both individuals and small to medium sized businesses to help grow their wealth and reduce their tax burden. My clients usually come to me by way of recommendation and our meetings are relaxed, friendly and professional. Financial planning is more than just numbers; it’s the people behind the figures that matter and recognising that everyone’s dreams are different...
I love seeing a plan come together to deliver on a client’s goal, whether this is buying the house, paying the university fees, being able to retire comfortably or helping someone get back on their feet following a life changing event. Having looked after many of my clients for over 25 years, this is a privilege that I’m increasingly being able to provide.
I live in the Cotswolds with my wife, Yvette, our two children and a menagerie of animals. Apart from being a beautiful part of the country, the location provides me with convenient access to my widespread client base which covers the majority of England south of Nottingham and West of The Wash. When not working, I enjoy the wonderful variety of attractions locally, the fabulous food and drink – especially enjoyed with friends – and am an enthusiastic, if not always melodic, member of a local choir.
